Moving In

Does Marshall Street Storage provide locks? YES It is included in your initial $10 administrative fee due at time of contract signing (applies to units only, of course). No one else has a key to that lock – just you.

Security And Access

When can I access my self storage unit?
Your unique assigned key code will open the gate from 6 A.M. to 10 P.M., 365 days a year, but access hours can be customized per Lessee upon request for certain reasons.

What’s the difference between access hours and office hours?
During access hours, 6 a.m. - 10 p.m.,  you can use your gate code to access your storage unit. During office hours, 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. Mon-Fri, your Storage Consultant is available to provide in-person customer service (like answering questions, accepting rental payment, etc).

Will my stuff be safe?
Very safe. Here’s what we do to ensure the security of our buildings:

  • State-of-the-art digital video surveillance systems
  • Motion detectors
  • Electronic keypad access to gated property
  • 24 hour monitoring

If I rent a storage unit from you, can my spouse, kids or friend have access, too?
When you rent from us you can allow access for other people you specify (or restrict access only to yourself). Simply designate an access code for them and the desired person will be granted access.

If I forget my access code, what do I do?
E-Mail us at MarshallStreetStorageLLC@gmail.com with your unit number and security answer & we will help you as soon as possible. Contact the Property Manager for assistance during regular business hours.

Lease Terms

Do you rent space month-to-month or do I have to sign a long-term lease?
Our rental contracts are month-to-month agreements – no long-term lease is required and your Move-In month is Pro-Rated!!

What kind of documentation do I need to provide to rent a storage unit?
You will need to provide a valid, government-issued form of identification (e.g., driver’s license, state ID or passport).  With parking spaces your registration/proof of ownership & insurance must be shown.

How do I move out?
The move-out process is easy: just empty your storage unit, and let us know that you’re leaving. We’ll close out your account that day. As a courtesy, we ask that you give notice at least 14 days before your intended vacate date. We DO NOT prorate Move Outs. We DO NOT give refunds!!!

Do you require insurance on my stored goods?
You are responsible for the items that you store with us at Marshall Street Storage LLC and insurance for your stored belongings is required.  We have tenant protection available if your homeowners or renters insurance won't cover your items.  You may be covered under an existing insurance policy. Be sure to check with your insurance agent to verify that your items are protected and provide us with a copy of your declarations page.

Billing

Do you have automatic payment options?
Sure do. You can sign up for auto-pay with our managers at move-in or any time during your stay.  We’ll automatically deduct your monthly charges from a credit card, debit card, or bank account. No bills, no checks to mail, no late fees. If you don’t want your rental fee to be paid automatically you can make a one-time monthly payment using our convenient online billing and payment option.

I don’t want to pay online.  Can I pay in person?
Yes.  You can choose to pay in-person at the property with cash, cashiers check, or credit/debit card. We have a drop box outside of the storage office.

What if I’m late in making my payment?
We bill monthly and all payments are due on the 1st of the month. However, we provide a 5-day grace period before charging a late fee of $15 on the 6th of the month.  To avoid the possibility of late fees, we recommend customers sign up for auto-pay, so that their payments are automatically taken from a bank account or credit card each month.
